Friends & Fitness…for a Lifetime!
Thanks to all the guys who came out to wash the courts for
the last two Saturdays. Many hands made for light work!
Thanks also to Terry Easson and Karen Macauley for sprucing up the bulletin boards.
Well done, everyone!

For the 2021-2022 Tennis Season
To the members of the Silveridge Tennis Club
It has been a long time since we were all together on the courts at Silveridge. In the hope that you are healthy and energetic enough to return to Mesa, we are planning for the upcoming EVSTL season. Last season the executive members, led by Kelly Harrison, did a great job keeping the club going in difficult circumstances. The situation is improved, but not completely returned to normal, for the 2021-22 season. Depending on the medical issues, the US, AZ, and Canadian governments, the park administrator rules, and both old and new members arriving at Silveridge, we are excited about launching a new season of tennis.
With the continuation of the pandemic, we ask for your patience and understanding as we (the Tennis Club) and EVSTL work out the safest and best procedures for tennis play this coming season.
-
Silveridge will have morning 'social' tennis (i.e., club-only round robin All Play) as we did last season until EVSTL tennis starts in November, and after the EVSTL season concludes in early March.
-
EVSTL is launching a new Recreational (Rec) league program in November for people who want inter-club tennis in a fun, non-Tencap format. Many of you have already signed up for Rec league so stay tuned as we and EVSTL put this program together.
-
The Tencap league will also start up in November, but Tencap scores will NOT be counted until January. For those of you who wish to play Tencap this fall, this gives you a chance to get back in the swing (pun intended) for a month or two before the January Tencap season starts.
-
During the EVSTL season, the Silveridge tennis courts can be used for morning club-only social play AS LONG AS the courts are not needed for EVSTL matches (either Tencap league or Rec league).
The membership fee is $25, payable to Linda McCloskey.

The EVSTL Executive Committee has decided that scores for Tencap matches will NOT be posted for the fall season of 2021. This will allow players who are coming back from a prolonged absence some time to ease back into league play and get their games on track. Tencap match scores will be posted beginning in January 2022. As a reminder, the new Recreational League will start in the fall, and scores from those matches will not be posted (it's just for fun!).

All Play
The Silveridge Tennis Club has started the All Play program. All Play is a round robin format of social tennis for all levels that is offered Monday through Friday from 4:00-5:30pm. Come join the fun and have an alternative "Happy Hour and a Half!"
Dues - As mentioned above, dues of $25.00 will be collected for the 2021-2022 season. Please make checks payable to the Silveridge Tennis Club and return to Linda McCloskey directly or via intra-park mail to Unit 110.
Welcome to the Silveridge tennis website! We hope you find this site useful and that it provides you with information on the benefits of tennis at Silveridge. For general information on the Silveridge RV Resort located in East Mesa, Arizona, please go to www.silveridge.com.
The Silveridge Tennis Club is a fun-loving group of over 100 tennis players with a wide variety of skill levels but a common philosophy:
Friends & Fitness…for a Lifetime!
We offer adult tennis players the opportunity to participate at levels ranging from “how do I hold a racquet?” to advanced play. We have free loaner racquets for beginners, and we offer free guided play sessions for folks who want to learn to play.
Silveridge has four lighted and well-maintained hard surface courts. Tennis activities offered include All Play (drop-in, social tennis held Monday through Friday afternoons), Social Play, Ball Machines/Practice balls, Invitational and Club fun tournaments, competitive play, coaching for most levels, and tennis club socials.
Interested in competitive tennis? Silveridge participates in the 50+ East Valley Senior Tennis League (EVSTL) and we have teams ranging from the beginning 1.5 level to the 3.5 level. A total of 16 resorts in the Mesa AZ area participate in EVSTL which offers spirited competition on weekday mornings from early November through early March.
We invite you to check out Silveridge RV Resort and our fun and beautiful tennis facilities. If you have questions or want additional information, please contact us.
